Alvin Sim is the Chief Operating Officer for Reste Laboratories. Alvin brings to Reste Laboratories a wealth of experience and expertise garnered over decades in laboratory management within Singapore’s medical laboratory industry. With a career spanning over 30 years, Alvin is recognised as a prominent figure in the field, renowned for his exceptional leadership and strategic acumen.

Alvin embarked on his esteemed journey in 1989 at Parkway Laboratories, where he swiftly ascended the ranks, demonstrating unparalleled dedication and proficiency. His instrumental role in steering the growth of Parkway Laboratories culminated in his appointment as Chief Operating Officer in 2014. Subsequently, Alvin accepted an offer from a Chinese corporation to serve as Chief Operating Officer, tasked with overseeing the establishment and operationalisation of a network of laboratories across northern China, solidifying his reputation as a leader of exceptional calibre.

In 2016, Alvin returned to Parkway Laboratories, where he spearheaded the clinical operations of all 6 laboratories in Singapore. His relentless pursuit of excellence and commitment to innovation propelled Parkway Laboratories to new heights of success. In 2020, Alvin transitioned to Reste Laboratories, assuming the role of Chief Operating Officer.

Throughout his distinguished career, Alvin has been pivotal in establishing over 20 laboratories across the Asia Pacific region, earning him widespread acclaim as a subject matter expert. His achievements include elevating Parkway’s core laboratory and Reste Laboratories to world-class standards, underscoring his unwavering commitment to excellence.

Alvin earned a Bachelor of Science in Medical Science from Curtin University of Technology, Australia, and an Advanced Diploma in Medical Laboratory from Singapore Polytechnic.
